Anne Kwaschik

Anne Kwaschik (* 20th century ) is a German historian .

Anne Kwaschik studied history, philosophy and modern German literature at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Zurich . She has taught and researched in Berlin ( Freie Universität Berlin , Technische Universität Berlin ), Paris ( École des hautes études en sciences sociales , Center interdisciplinaire d'études et de recherches sur l'Allemagne, German Historical Institute Paris ), New York and Rome . Her dissertation dealt with the history of mentalities of the French cultural historian Robert Minder . The work was awarded the Friedrich Meinecke Prize for an outstanding dissertation (2007) and the Franco-German Parliament Prize (2010). Among other things, she was junior professor for Western European history at the Friedrich Meinecke Institute and at the France Center of the Free University of Berlin. Since the winter semester 2017/18 she has been teaching as professor for the history of knowledge at the University of Konstanz (W3). In 2019 she received the LUKS teaching award from the University of Konstanz.

Since her dissertation, the Franco-German history of relationships and historiography has been an important focus of her work. Her current research interests concern the scientification of the colonial in the 19th and 20th centuries, the history of project management, and the history of social experiments and contemporary diagnostics since 1800.
