Anne Rabe

Anne Rabe (born April 1, 1986 in Wismar ) is a German playwright.

Life

Anne Rabe first studied German and theater studies at the Free University of Berlin . From April 2006 to February 2010 she studied "scenic writing" at the Berlin University of the Arts . She published short stories, poems and essays in magazines (“drafts”, [poet] mag).

After her short play “The first play about Martin” was performed at the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz in Berlin as part of the “Deutschlandsaga” in 2008 , she received the Kleist Prize for Youngsters in the same year for her play “Eighteen One Hundred Nine - Lichtenhagen” Dramatist of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) and was invited to the writing laboratory of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus .

Her plays were already being performed at home and abroad during her studies. In addition to these, she also writes for film and television and continues to publish poetry, prose and essays. She also translates plays and radio plays from English. a. by Dawn King .

Anne Rabe lives with her family in Berlin.
