Annelie Unger

Annelie Unger (née Lohmann ; born March 9, 1951 in Großolbersdorf , Marienberg district ) is a former German trade unionist . She was chairman of the central committee of the textile-clothing-leather industrial union in the FDGB .

Life

Unger, daughter of a working-class family, joined the FDJ in 1965 . From 1965 to 1967 she completed an apprenticeship as a stocking specialist in the VEB stocking factory " Max Roscher " Gornau / Erzgeb. She then worked as a stocking specialist in Gornau until 1975. In 1976 she became a member of the SED and attended the central school of the FDGB federal executive " Pierre Timbaud " in Erfurt .

From 1977 to 1979 Unger acted as the deputy chairwoman of the district executive committee of IG Textile-Clothing-Leather in Zschopau , 1979/1980 as a political assistant and secretary of the FDGB district executive committee in Zschopau. Between 1981 and 1984 she completed her studies at the trade union college “Fritz Heckert” in Bernau near Berlin, where she graduated as a social scientist. From 1984 to 1986 Unger was secretary of the FDGB district board in Karl-Marx-Stadt and from May 1986 to 1989 chairwoman of the central board of IG Textile-Clothing-Leather. On October 2, 1986, she was co-opted as a member of the FDGB federal executive committee and from 1987 to 1989 she was also a member of its executive committee.

On September 7, 1988, Unger took part as a guest of honor at the celebratory event for the 85th anniversary of the Crimmitschau textile workers' strike.
