Annette kiss

Annette Kuß (* before 1975) is a German opera and theater director.

Annette Kuß studied literature , art history and philosophy and graduated with a master's degree . She also completed a dance training. In 1997, as a worthy artist, she received the award money from Kortner Prize winner Christoph Marthaler . In 1996 Kuss staged her first own play with “Die Nervenwaage” by Antonin Artaud at the Volksbühne Berlin . Further productions followed at the Staatsschauspiel Hannover , the Schauspielhaus Zurich , the Staatsschauspiel Kassel , the Deutsches Theater Göttingen , the Theater Oberhausen , the Theater Aachen , the Thalia Theater Hamburg , the Theater Meiningen and other theaters. She staged literary pieces, among others by William Shakespeare , Roland Schimmelpfennig , or self-developed projects such as "Tender Loops" by Gertrude Stein or "Pussy, King of the Pirates" by Kathy Acker . In 1999 she worked with Christoph Schlingensief on a project for the homeless. Since then she has repeatedly staged documentary pieces such as “Happy Hour” about the antiaging mania or “egg curre eiaskurre” about body memory with older dancers and dancers with dementia. In 2006, her production “Freudendienste” attracted particular attention. It is based on interviews with sex workers and their customers and was shown in cooperation with the Hebbel am Ufer Theater in Berlin in the Freudenhaus Hase , in other words in an original setting. Her most recent works include "Pais sin palabras" in Buenos Aires , the world premiere of the music theater "Paulus" by Thomas Jennefelt , "Scherbenpark" and "Kind ohne Zimmer" at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin and "Die Perlmutterfarben" at the Junge Schauspiel Düsseldorf.
