Annie (actually Anne Lilia Berge Strand ; born November 21, 1977 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian singer . Internationally known as a DJ , she released the first single, The Greatest Hit, produced by Bergen-based DJ Tore Kroknes (DJ Erot) back in 1999. This single contains a sample of Madonna's song Everybody and was a hit on the dance floors. It is also included on the 2004 debut album Anniemal . The first release from this album, Chewing Gum , was produced by the British Richard X., became a success in Norway. In addition to some very radio-friendly pieces on the album, mostly produced by Teemo Kaukolampi of the OP: L Bastards , the two songs Heartbeat and No Easy Love , produced by Röyksopp , stand out in addition to the single Chewing Gum . In Norway, Annie won the Spellemannpris for best newcomer and the Alarmpris for best pop album.
