Ansgar Hüning (* 1966 in Münster ) is a German singer with the baritone voice .

Life

Ansgar Hüning studied singing from 1989 to 1992 at the Vienna Conservatory with Marija Sklad-Sauer . Then he went to Italy for further vocal training. He studied with Nazzareno Antinori at the Conservatory of Ferrara and was a student of Romano Emili in Bologna from 1992 to 1996. He also took part in master classes with Rolando Panerai .

After returning to Germany, Ansgar Hüning won 2nd place in the NRW state singing competition in the field of opera in 1996. At the Bad Hersfeld Opera Festival in 1997/1998 he sang Guglielmo in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Così fan tutte , in 1999/2000 Papageno in the opera Die Zauberflöte and in 2009 Silvio in Der Bajazzo .

Ansgar Hüning has been a permanent member of the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater in Flensburg since the 1997/98 season . There he sings mainly the lyric baritone subject in opera, but also takes on roles from the area of ​​the cavalier and character baritone. He also appears in operettas and as a musical actor .

Another focus of his work are recitals and concerts. His repertoire ranges from the baroque and classical periods through romantic and late romantic to modern times . He sang the song cycles Die Winterreise by Franz Schubert , Dichterliebe by Robert Schumann , The beautiful Magelone by Johannes Brahms and the Kindertotenlieder by Gustav Mahler .
