Antonio José Loiola de Sousa

António José Loiola de Sousa (* 1970 or 1971 ) is the President of the Executive Council of the Timor Gap EP , East Timor's state oil company .

Loiola de Sousa is an engineer, geomechanic and management and industrial engineer in the oil sector. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on building geology from the Technological Institute in Bandung, Indonesia . He also holds a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Technology and Sciences . Before Loiola de Sousa started at Timor Gap EP, he worked on oil projects in the North Sea , Scottish Premier Oil , Schlumberger Regional Exploration and Production Center , France and the Malaysian oil company Petronas .

On July 8, 2020, Sousa was appointed the new President of the Executive Council of the Timor Gap EP by the East Timorese government . He was previously Vice President. The 49-year-old was introduced to the post on July 13 by his predecessor Francisco da Costa Monteiro .
