Antônio Annibelli

Antônio Annibelli (born October 14, 1911 in São Paulo , † October 15, 1997 in Curitiba ) was a Brazilian public prosecutor and politician . He was also the interim governor of Paraná . He founded a now 70-year-old political dynasty in Paraná.

biography

As the son of Alberto Annibelli and Francisca Anibelli, he graduated from elementary school and high school up to fourth grade in Santa Maria da Boca do Monte in 1931.

In 1935 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Universidade do Paraná as Bacharel em Direito .

He worked for the Public Prosecutor's Office while still a student and then joined it after starting his career in Ipiranga and then in Clevelândia . In Clevelândia he was elected city prefect (mayor) in 1944.

Annibelli began his political career when he joined the Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro (PTB), for which he ran as a candidate for a member of the parliament in the 1950 elections. He was elected to the Paraná legislative assembly in 1950 and re-elected in 1954 and 1958. In 1962 he was elected to the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies as a federal representative for his state.

As President of the Legislative Assembly, he was temporarily governor of the state of Paraná from April 3 to May 1, 1955, replacing Governor Bento Munhoz da Rocha Neto when he agreed to become Minister of Agriculture in the Café Filho government after an unsuccessful run for the presidency .

In 1974 he did not stand for re-election. Instead, he campaigned for his son's political career.

He died on October 15, 1997 at the age of 86 in Curitiba.

Antônio Annibelli married Jacira Martins, who came from an influential family in the southwest and with whom he had three sons. Born in 1943 Antonio Martins Anibelli (Antonio Annibelli (Filho)) followed his father into politics, as did his son Antonio Anibelli Neto (Antonio Annibelli (Neto)).
