Anthony Favre (born February 1, 1984 in Rolle VD ) is a former Swiss football goalkeeper .
Player career
Anthony Favre began his career in 2000 with the second team of FC Echallens . He spent the next three years at Servette FC Genève . During this time he could not record any success worth mentioning. In 2004 Favre moved to the Vaudois club FC Baulmes for a good year and a half , where he was the goalkeeper. In 2007 he was signed by the then Challenge League club, FC Lausanne-Sport . In the 2009/10 season, Favre and his club surprisingly reached the final of the Swiss Cup . In the final against FC Basel , the Vaudois lost 6-0. Thanks to its participation in the cup final, the Lac Léman club was able to play in the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League qualification . The sensation succeeded, because the FC Lausanne-Sport reached the group stage, whereby Anthony Favre did not play an unimportant role. In the same season, Lausanne-Sport was promoted to the Axpo Super League . In the spring of 2011, Favre extended his existing contract for another two years. For the new season, FC Lausanne-Sport has signed the former Swiss national goalkeeper Fabio Coltorti . This meant that Favre was only a substitute goalkeeper.
