Anthony Harvey
Anthony Harvey (born June 3, 1930 in London - † November 23, 2017 in Water Mill , Long Island ) was a British film director and film editor .
Life
Harvey began his film career as an editor and cut for Stanley Kubrick 's movies Lolita (1962) and Dr. Strange or How I Learned to Love the Bomb (1964). He made his debut as a director in 1966 with the film Dutchman . His second film in 1968, The Lion in Winter with Peter O'Toole and Katharine Hepburn in the leading roles, won three Oscar and two Golden Globe awards. Harvey himself got an Oscar nomination for best director. With his following films, however, Harvey could no longer build on this success.
