Anthony Gerard Edward Noel, 5th Earl of Gainsborough KStJ JP (* October 24, 1923 ; † December 29, 2009 ) was a British politician and nobleman who inherited the title of Earl of Gainsborough as early as 1927 as a 4-year-old and thereby achieved At the age of 21, he became a member of the House of Lords in 1944 , to which he was a member until the House of Lords Act 1999 came into force .

Life

Noel was the second child and eldest son of Arthur Noel, 4th Earl of Gainsborough and his wife Alice Mary Eyre. This marriage produced four sons and four daughters, including the eldest son Anthony Baptist Noel , who inherited the title of 6th Earl of Gainsborough and subordinate titles after his death in 2009.
