Anthony Winkler Prins
Anthony Winkler Prins (born January 31, 1817 in Voorst ; † January 4, 1908 in Voorburg ) founded the most important Dutch encyclopedia , " Winkler Prins ".
Life
Anthony Winkler Prins studied science and literature at the University of Utrecht and theology at the Mennonite Theological Seminary at the University of Amsterdam . After graduating, he worked as a pastor in the Mennonite Church in the Netherlands . In his hometown Veendam he founded a nautical school and a Masonic lodge . An exhibition on Anthony Winkler Prins can be seen at the Veenkoloniaal Museum in Veendam.
