action

Several bodies are found in a dark cave. Interpol agent Steven Bauers conceals a mysterious book in the middle of the remains, in which the recent events that led to the cause of the tragedy are described in detail. These events are shown below in the film as a flashback.

Industrial magnate Nikos Karamanlis and his family get caught in a storm during a sailing trip in which their daughter Vicky is fatally injured. The millionaire and his heavily pregnant wife save themselves in a dinghy, drift around on the open sea for days until hunger finally becomes unbearable. Nicos decides to consume his daughter's lifeless body. In a subsequent argument, the entrepreneur accidentally kills his wife, who wants to prevent her husband's cannibalistic instincts. Nikos survives, but subsequently degenerates into a moronic character. The cannibal will eventually reach the mainland, where from then on he will live out his greed for fresh human flesh and kill the local population.

A group of vacationers is meanwhile traveling aimlessly through Tuscany with their motorhome . The illustrious tour company comes to a standstill with their vehicle in the village of Borgo San Lorenzo . They decide to have a party on the spot, not knowing that the area is nearly deserted. In addition, there is an insane mass murderer who kills and eats all residents. The stranded vacationers are soon attacked and decimated by the monster. As they lose their lives one after the other, they find Nikos' notes, staggered in time, in which he reports extensively of his insatiable greed for human flesh. At the end of the film, the group's only survivor, Georg, manages to slay the beast.

Reviews

Carsten Henkelmann critically rated the film for the Sense of View as a below-average amateur production . Above all, bad actors, stupid dialogues and absolutely clumsy effects are criticized.

Andreas Fecher comments more positively: Although the story of the film is not convincing due to many logic errors , he considers the technical implementation and camera work to be successful, the sound is criticized.

LM Campbell also provides a positive review from the perspective of the splatter fan, who says, referring to D'Amato's original: Everyone remembers the infamous scene in the original Dawn Of The Dead where Tom Savini falls off of his bike and has his entrails spread out like an all -you-can-eat zombie buffet - now try to mentally digest 30 minutes of such insanity crammed into a ninety minute film.
