Antoaneta Wassilewa ( Bulgarian Антоанета Василева ; * 1960 ) is a Bulgarian economist and professor of world economy and international economic relations at the University of National and World Economy (UNSS) in Sofia . Since 2011 she has been the dean of the “International Economics and Politics ” faculty .

Life

education

Antoaneta Wassilewa completed her studies in 1984 with a focus on "International Economic Relations" at the Higher Institute of Economics " Karl Marx " (today UNSS). She is a Doctor of Economics (2000, Bulgaria) and a Doctor of Business Administration (2002, USA ).

Wassilewa specialized in international management and marketing at the Instituto de Estudios de la Empresa Superiores, Barcelona (1997), at the City University Business School, London (1997, 1998) and at the Asia-Pacific University, Beppu , Japan (2005).

Scientific career

Antoaneta Wassilewa is a professor in the Department of International Economic Relations and Business. She teaches International Business Operations, Regional Business Practice in International Business and international marketing in bachelor's and master's programs in International Economic Relations in Bulgarian and English. She has lectured at universities in [Poland] and Japan. She leads a series of lectures on the joint master's program in "International Business Management", the University of National and World Economy and Nottingham Trent University, Great Britain.

Between 2002 and 2006 Antoaneta Wassilewa was director of the Center for International Economics, Politics and Law at the Institute for Postgraduate Studies (IPS) at the UNSS Institute for Postgraduate Studies.

She is one of the founders of the Center for Development of Management Skills at the IPS (Managerial Skills Development Center (MSDC)) and lecturer of the Bulgarian-Japanese course “Global Management and Leadership”.

Wassilewa has participated in national and international projects in the field of research, management training, knowledge transfer and innovation, such as the Bulgarian-Japanese project “Development of leadership qualities”, the Bulgarian-Italian project “University-business partnership and economy and management” ”, The Bulgarian-Belgian project“ European Commitment to Entrepreneurship ”and many others.

Vasileva led scientific research projects on the subjects of "International competitiveness of export-oriented industries in Bulgaria ", "The reform of the EU budget and the future financing of EU policies" and others.

Wassilewa is a member of the editorial board of the Bulgarian magazine “International Relations” and the Macedonian magazine “Vision”.

She is a member of the “European International Business Academy”, the “Union of Economists in Bulgaria” and founder of the “Club of Experts for Trade and International Business Activities”.

Wassilewa is actively committed to a better exchange between universities and business. She is committed to expanding her faculty's master’s degree programs. a. in partner programs with other European universities, management trainings, academic exchanges and research projects. In January 2014 it announced the start of new graduate programs in the course "International Economic Relations", specializing in "International Project Management", "International Business on the Internet" and "International Finance", as well as "International Relations" with the specialization " International Public Administration ". Wassilewa is committed to expanding its faculty as a center of attraction for master's and doctoral students from neighboring countries in the Balkans and on the other to a center for Balkan studies.

Private life

In addition to her high reputation as a scientist, Prof. Wassilewa is considered a relaxed and beaming woman who supports students beyond teaching and attaches great importance to her private life.

Antoaneta Wassilewa is the wife of Tsvetan Vasilev , majority shareholder of Corporate Commercial Bank AD. Antoaneta Wassilewa and Tsvetan Wassilew are the parents of their daughter - Radosweta Wassilewa.
