Antoine Camille Diot (born January 17, 1989 in Bourg-en-Bresse ) is a French basketball player .

career

The 1.93 meter tall player was trained at his hometown club JL Bourg-en-Bresse , then at the INSEP competitive sports facility . In 2004 he became European champion with the French U16 selection. In 2005 he was back in the final of the U16 European Championship with France, but lost to Turkey there. At the U16 European Championship in 2005, Diot was the third best scorer in the tournament with 21.9 points per match. In 2007 he moved to the first division club Le Mans Sarthe Basket . There he became a teammate of Nicolas Batum , with whom he had become U18 European champion in 2006 and won the Albert Schweitzer tournament in the same year .

He was a cup winner with Le Mans in 2009 and a French runner-up in 2010 and 2010. Diot left Le Mans in 2012 in the direction of Paris-Levallois and achieved in the 2012/13 season with 13.1 points per match, his best average value to date in the French league. He won the French cup competition with the team. He was also a top performer at SIG Strasbourg (2013 to 2015) and was runner-up with the team in 2014 and 2015 and cup winners in 2015.

Diot moved to Spain to join Valencia Basket in 2015 . He stayed there until 2019. He became Spanish champion with the team in 2017, Diot contributed an average of 8.1 points per match in the championship season and prepared 4.1 basket successes for his side men per game. In 2017 he also reached the finals of the European club competition EuroCup with Valencia , but there they lost to Unicaja Malaga , Diot was absent due to an ankle injury. He missed the 2017/18 season due to a knee injury. In the 2018/19 game year he won the EuroCup with Valencia.

In July 2019 he signed a contract with ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne .

With France's senior team, Diot was European champion in 2013 and third in the World Cup in 2014.
