Janusz Anderman
Janusz Anderman (born April 7, 1949 in Włoszczowa ) is a Polish writer , radio play and screenplay writer and translator from Czech .
Life
Anderman attended school in Kielce and graduated from high school in 1967. He then studied Slavic Studies at the Jagiellonian University , where he obtained his master's degree in 1974 . He made his debut with the short story Cisza pod powiekami , which appeared in the weekly newspaper Politechnik in 1972 . After completing his studies, he worked from 1974 as a screenwriter for the television station in Krakow, where he was released after only six months. He then worked as a reporter for Student magazine until 1976 . In addition, he published his texts and translations in the magazine Twórczość and was accepted into the Association of Polish Letters in 1978 . In addition, from 1978 was editor of the underground magazine Puls . He joined the Polish PEN Club in 1980. From August 1980 he was a member of the Commission of the Union of Polish Writers for Cooperation with Solidarność and from December 1981 was co-organizer of the Aid Committee for Internees ( Komitet Pomocy Internowanym ). He was then interned in Białołęka from January 1982 to July . After his release he published in the Paris magazines Kultura and Zeszyty Literackie . During his stay in Germany and Great Britain from 1983 to 1984 he worked with Radio Free Europe . After his return he published in independent magazines such as Arka and Kultura Niezależna and from 1984 to 1988 in the Krakow spoken magazine NaGłos . In 1989 he was a co-founder of the Polish Writers' Association . From 2000 he worked with Gazeta Wyborcza .
Anderman lives in Warsaw .
