Levallois Metropolitans (until 2016 Paris-Levallois Basket) is a French basketball club from Paris .

history

The club was created through the merger of the clubs Paris Basket Racing from Paris and Levallois Sporting Club Basket from Levallois-Perret .

The first season in the highest French basketball league Ligue Nationale de Basket Pro A ended for Paris-Levallois Basket with relegation to the second league Pro B. The club was able to achieve the declared goal of direct promotion. In the 2009/10 season, the club reached the play-offs for the first time in seventh place, but failed there in the first round at Le Mans Sarthe Basket . The following year the performance of the previous year could not be confirmed and the second descent only narrowly escaped. In the 2011/12 season, the team increased again and reached sixth place again in the play-offs, where it came against Orléans Loiret Basket but to the first round.

In 2012/13, the club took part in a European Cup for the first time, the EuroChallenge . There they survived the two group phases and only failed in the quarterfinals.

With the start of the 2016/17 season, the club changed its name from Paris-Levallois to Levallois Metropolitans.

Hall

Since it was founded in 2007, the club has played its home games alternately in the two halls of the respective home clubs.
