Antoine Marie Bard (born January 21, 1759 in Montmort , Saône-et-Loire department , † November 9, 1837 in Toulon-sur-Arroux (Saône-et-Loire)) was a French général de brigade of the revolutionary army.

Career

From 1778 to 1781 he served in the royal gendarmerie de France .

In 1789, during the French Revolution , he joined the National Guard . On July 24, 1791 he was elected major in the National Guard of Toulon-sur-Arroux. Then he reported to the volunteer battalions, was Lieutenant in the 43 e régiment d'infantry and struggled with this in the Battle of Jemappes . On May 27, 1793, he became the commander of the 10th Orléans Volunteer Battalion . On September 29, 1793, he was promoted to Général de brigade. Bart became the commander of the "Division de Luçon", which was used to fight the Vendée uprising . Here he fought with his division in the Battle of La Tremblaye , the Second Battle of Cholet, and was involved in the atrocities of the Colonnes infernales .

For some time he commanded the garrison of Luçon and Chantonnay .

In 1795 he officially resigned from service due to an injury.
