Anton “Toni” Biersack (born July 14, 1927 in the area of ​​what will later become Garmisch-Partenkirchen ; † March 30, 2007 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen) was a German ice hockey player .

Career

From 1948 to 1959 he played in the 1st team of the SC Riessersee , with whom he became German champion in 1950 , mainly as a defender but also as a striker. In 1959 he moved to Nuremberg for SG Nürnberg , with whom he was promoted twice to the ice hockey Bundesliga . He played there until 1962 before ending his career as a player-coach at EHC Ehrwald in Tyrol .

As a member of the national team he participated in the 1953 and 1954 at the Ice Hockey World Championship , and in 1956 at the Winter Olympics in part.

In 1989 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in Germany .
