Anton Burglechner studied law, then theology in Salzburg . After his ordination and licentiate in theology, he took up a position as curate in St. Margarethen near Jenbach. In 1731 he became a pastor in Axams near Innsbruck, where he built a new church. The church was laid down except for the tower and a new building was then built between 1732 and 1734. Burglechner took over part of the costs and was later buried in the parish church. A grave plaque on the pillar opposite the pulpit still reminds of him today.

Burglechner did a great job of supporting Peter Anich in particular . He recognized his talent and obtained his first orders for the production of sundials and then sent him to Innsbruck in 1751 to the university, where a relative of Burglechner, Ignaz von Weinhart , taught as a professor. Peter Anich was able to study mathematics, field measurement and astronomy in Innsbruck.

Others
