Anton Ehrenberger
Anton Ehrenberger (born February 14, 1953 in Horn ) is an Austrian visual artist, cultural mediator, cultural journalist and exhibition designer who works and lives in Gars am Kamp .
life and work
Anton Ehrenberger studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna ( Herbert Tasquil master class ) and at the International Summer Academy for Fine Arts in Salzburg with Rudolf Hradil (etching) and Werner Otte (lithography). Ehrenberger was an art teacher at the Piaristengymnasium Krems and a lecturer at the Church Pedagogical University Krems for the teaching post in visual education and has been active as a visual artist, cultural mediator, cultural journalist and exhibition designer since the 1970s. Ehrenberger is a member of the “St. Pöltner Künstlerbundes "and the Krems artist group" Raumweitend ". Together with Hans Heppenheimer , Ehrenberger was the driving force behind the design of the museum, the preservation of the townscape and monuments as well as the research and documentation of the history of Gars am Kamp . As Heppenheimer's successor, Ehrenberger was director of the Gars local history museum from 1989 to 2000, and has been director of the Zeitbrücke Museum in Gars since 2012 . In this role he has curated numerous exhibitions, written and edited catalogs and publications.
