Anton Ignaz Ulbrich

Anton Ignaz Ulbrich (* approx. 1706 in Bohemia ; † December 14, 1796 in Vienna ) was an Austrian musician, singer (bass) and lyricist.

Life

Anton Ignaz Ulbrich first worked as a trombonist in the court orchestra for the Empress Elisabeth Christine (1741–1750) and then for the Empress Maria Theresa (from 1750), where he also played the bass . In 1794 he was replaced by Johann Michael Vogl . He also sang in the choir of the court opera theater and in various churches in Vienna and also composed.

His two sons Maximilian Ulbrich (1743–1814) and Anton Michael Ulbrich (around 1754–1830) were also active as musicians in Vienna.
