Anton Kern (born April 27, 1951 in Leustetten, today Saaldorf-Surheim municipality ) is a Bavarian politician of the CSU . From 2003 to 2008 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Life

After completing his training as an agricultural master in 1973 , he took over the Gitscher farm in Leustetten in 1980. He is district chairman of the Bavarian state farmers 'association within the German farmers' association for the district of Berchtesgadener Land and deputy district president of Upper Bavaria . Kern is the chairman of the Betriebs- und Dorfhelferinnen GmbH and the representative assembly of the agricultural long-term care fund at the Agricultural Social Insurance Franconia Upper Bavaria.

From 1976 to 1980 he was the local chairman of the Junge Union Saaldorf-Surheim. Since 1996 he has been a member of the local council of his home parish. In 2002 he was elected to the district council of the Berchtesgadener Land district and was re-elected to the district council in the 2008 local elections with the second best result of all district council candidates. In 2003 he ran for the first time for the Bavarian State Parliament. The second-vote candidate Kern immediately became a member of the state parliament . He was a member of the Environment Committee and the Petitions Committee .

In the state elections in 2008 he was unable to return to the state parliament as a candidate on the list for the Upper Bavaria district due to the heavy losses suffered by the CSU.

He is also a member of the Berchtesgaden National Park Advisory Board , the Nature Conservation Advisory Board of the Government of Upper Bavaria and the Berchtesgadener Land district office . He is an assessor at the Traunstein Regional Court and was chairman of the Prison Advisory Board of the Laufen-Lebenau prison until he left the Bavarian State Parliament.
