Anton Müller (philologist)

Anton Müller (born June 8, 1792 in Oschiz , Bohemia ; † January 5, 1843 in Prague ) was an Austrian writer, professor of aesthetics and classical philologist .

Life

Anton Müller studied at the University of Prague and had been a high school teacher in Gitschin since 1816 . In 1819 he became professor of aesthetics and classical literature at the University of Innsbruck , from 1826 he taught as professor of aesthetics and from 1833, as successor to Alois Klar , as professor of classical literature and the history of literature at the University of Prague. From 1828 on he was also involved as a theater, music and art editor for the magazine Bohemia .
