Anton Wilhelm von Poschinger

Anton Wilhelm Ritter and Edler von Poschinger (born July 10, 1839 in Oberfrauenau , † May 13, 1895 in Unterzwieselau ) was a merchant and landowner in Ahausen near Landau on the Isar .

Life

Wilhelm von Poschinger comes from the knightly Deggendorf line of the Bavarian noble family Poschinger, first mentioned in 1140 . He was born as the second son of Johann Michael von Poschinger at Oberfrauenau Castle .

In 1862 he married Waldburga geb. Schlosser, with whom he had 4 children - one of his sons was the Bavarian Major General Wilhelm von Poschinger .

Poschinger founded a warehouse in the Gnigl-Schallmoos community in 1877 , which later passed to Leopold Wildenhofer.

Poschingerstraße , which runs in today's Salzburg district of Schallmoos , was named after him in 1903 .
