Georg Anton Schauß , from 1854 Ritter von Schauß (* 1800 in Munich ; † November 26, 1876 in Kempfenhausen ), was a German lawyer , freemason and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

Schauß, son of the court building department draftsman Georg Anton Schauß, studied law in Landshut and Heidelberg from 1817 to 1821 . In Landshut he became a member of the Corps Bavaria in 1819 . After graduating as Dr. jur. In 1821 he became a legal trainee, in 1823 court advisor, in 1828 district and city court assessor in Munich, in 1833 lawyer in Munich and in 1836 royal councilor. From 1840 he was also the legal advisor to Duke Maximilian in Bavaria . In 1840 he received the title of court advisor . Schauß wrote legal, political and literary works. From May 18, 1848 to May 29, 1849 he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly ( Landsberg ) and voted against the election of Friedrich Wilhelm IV as Emperor of the Germans. From 1859 to 1864 he was the Greek consul in Munich.

From 1838 to 1867, Schauß was a member of the Munich casual society . In 1839, Schauß was admitted to the Nuremberg Freemason's lodge To the Three Arrows .
