Antoni Dobrowolski (born October 8, 1904 in Wolbórz , † October 21, 2012 in Dębno , West Pomeranian Voivodeship ) was a Polish resistance fighter and survivor of the Holocaust .

Career

Dobrowolski was a teacher at a primary school. After the Wehrmacht invaded Poland , he joined the Secret Teachers' Organization (TAN). He was arrested by the Gestapo in June 1942 and deported to the Auschwitz main camp , where he had camp number 38081. Later he came to Groß-Rosen , and finally to Sachsenhausen . After the war he returned to school in Poland.

When he died at the age of 108, he was the oldest surviving Auschwitz prisoner.
