Antoni Stankiewicz
Antoni Stankiewicz (born October 1, 1935 in Oleszczenice near Vilnius , Lithuania) is a Curial Bishop of Polish origin .
Life
He was ordained a priest on December 20, 1958 in Gościkowo in the Paradies monastery . From 1978 Stankiewicz was a judge at the Roman Rota and from 1980 taught at the Faculty of Canon Law at the Pontifical Gregorian University and from 1996 at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross , later also at the Urbaniana . On January 31, 2004, he was appointed Dean of the Roman Rota by Pope John Paul II . On November 15, 2006 he was by Pope Benedict XVI. Appointed Titular Bishop of Nova Petra . The episcopal ordination received his Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone SDB on 16 December of the same year in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome; Co-consecrators were James Francis Cardinal Stafford and Jean-Louis Cardinal Tauran .
