Gościkowo (formerly Paradyż, German: Paradise) is a village in the municipality of Świebodzin ( Schwiebus ) in the powiat Świebodziński ( Schwiebus district ) of the Polish voivodeship of Lebus .
Geographical location
The place is 10 kilometers north of Świebodzin and 44 kilometers north of Zielona Góra .
history
The village developed in the Middle Ages at the Paradies monastery . The settlement probably took place after 1236 by monks from the Lehnin monastery . The monastery remains a place of interest to this day.
