Martin Rentzsch

Martin Rentzsch (* 1963 in Berlin ) is a German actor and radio play speaker .

Life

Martin Rentzsch graduated from high school in Nettetal and was there for the first time on stage in a school performance by Friedrich Dürrenmatt's physicists . He trained as an actor at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen . After engagements at the Hamburg Thalia Theater , the St. Pauli Theater and the Staatstheater Oldenburg , Rentzsch was an ensemble member at the Schauspielhaus Bochum from 2000 , where he was awarded the Bochum Theater Prize in 2008 . At the beginning of the 2009/10 season he took up an engagement at the Schauspiel Frankfurt .

Under well-known directors such as Jürgen Flimm , Karin Henkel , Wilfried Minks and Michael Thalheimer , Rentzsch played in Carl Zuckmayer's Captain von Köpenick , Harold Pinter's caretaker , in Endstation Sehnsucht by Tennessee Williams , Maria Stuart by Friedrich Schiller or Henrik Ibsen's Wildente . At the end of his time in Bochum Rentzsch designed a solo evening with a homage to the actor and cabaret artist Jürgen von Manger and his stage character Adolf Tegtmeier .

In addition to his extensive work as a theater actor, Martin Rentzsch occasionally appears in front of the camera or works as a radio play speaker. He lives in Frankfurt / Main.
