Antonio Lining (born May 9, 1963 in Mindoro ) is a Filipino pool player .

Career

After Antonio Lining became Asian champion in 1994 and won the Indonesian Open, he finished ninth at the US Open in September 1997 . In November 1994 he was fifth at the 9-ball world championship . In February 2000 he reached the final at Motolite International, which he lost to his compatriot Francisco Bustamante . At the 9-Ball World Championships in 2001 and 2002 , Lining was eliminated in the round of 16. In October 2002 he reached the final of the Asian Games, where he was defeated by the Taiwanese Yang Ching-shun by just 10:11. In doubles, however, he won the gold medal together with Francisco Bustamante. In July 2006, he finished ninth at the IPT North American Open.

At the 10-Ball World Cup in 2009 , Lining reached the semi-finals and only just lost it 7: 9 against eventual world champion Mika Immonen . In July 2010, Lining made it into the semi-finals of the 9-Ball World Cup , where he was eliminated from the eventual world champion Francisco Bustamante. In September 2010 he lost to the Chinese Zhang Yu Long in the final of the China Open . In 2011 Lining reached the sixteenth finals of the 8-ball World Cup and the second round of the 9-ball World Cup and was ninth at the US Open. At the Japan Open 2014 Lining reached the round of 16 and was eliminated from the Japanese Naoyuki Ōi .

Lining was runner-up in 2010 with the Philippine national team .
