Japan Open 2014
The Japan Open 2014 (officially: All Japan Open Championship 2014 , also: All Japan Open 2014 ) was a pool tournament that took place from November 19 to 24, 2014 in the Archaic Hall in Amagasaki , Japan .
The Filipino Raymund Faraon won the tournament with an 11: 8 victory in the final against the Japanese Naoyuki Ōi . Defending champion Ko Pin-yi was eliminated in the sixteenth finals against the Japanese Sugihara Tadasu . Ralf Souquet reached the round of 16 as the best German, which he lost to Chang Jung-Lin . Thorsten Hohmann was eliminated in the last 64.
Wu Zhi-ting from Taiwan won the women's tournament with an 11: 3 final victory over Chinese Liu Shasha . Defending champion Akimi Kajitani was eliminated in the round of 32 against Tsai Pei-chen .
