Fu Che-wei (born December 21, 1973 ) is a Taiwanese pool player .

Career

After Fu Che-wei had reached the round of 32 at the 9-Ball World Championships in 2003 and 2004 , he was eliminated at the World Games 2005 in the round of 16 with 9:11 against the German Thomas Engert . In November 2006 he made it to the semi-finals of the 9-Ball World Cup , losing to the German Ralf Souquet with 10:11. In 2008 Fu reached the round of 16 at the first ever 10-Ball World Championship . After he was eliminated in the round of 64 at the 2009 10-Ball World Cup , Fu finished fifth at the Japan Open in 2010 . In May 2011, he finished third at the Beijing Open and was eliminated in the round of 64 at the 10-Ball World Cup . A few weeks later he reached the sixteenth finals at the 9-ball World Cup .

In February 2012 he made it into the final of the 8-Ball World Cup for the first time, which he lost against his compatriot Chang Jung-Lin 6:11. In 2012 he also reached the round of 32 at the 9-Ball World Cup and third place at the Japan Open. In May 2013 Fu made it to the finals at the China Open and lost to Lee Van Corteza from the Philippines . At the Japan Open 2014 , Fu reached the round of 16. In February 2015 Fu came back to the 10-ball World Cup for the first time since 2012 in the sixteenth finals of a World Cup, where he was eliminated by Lee Van Corteza. At the China Open 2015 he reached the round of 16.

With the Taiwanese National Fu was 2012 world champion and reached in 2014 the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
