Lo Li-wen ( Chinese  羅立文  /  罗立文 , Pinyin Luo Liwen ; born July 10, 1978 in New Taipei ) is a Taiwanese pool player .

Career

In January 2007 he moved his career to Japan and has been a member of the Japanese Pool Association since April 2009.

After Lo Li-wen had already finished seventeenth at the Tokyo 9-Ball Event in 2001 and at the China Open in 2009 , he reached the round of 32 at the 2010 World Pool Masters, losing just 8: 9 to American Charlie Williams . In October 2010 he reached the last sixteen at the 14/1 endless World Cup and was ninth at the US Open . In May 2011, Lo reached the sixteenth finals of the 10-Ball World Championship , defeating the Chinese Wu Jiaqing 8: 9. At the 9-ball World Cup 2011 he was eliminated in the round of 32 against Venancio Tanio . In February 2012 Lo lost at the 8-Ball World Cup in the round of 64 against the German Oliver Ortmann . At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2012 Lo reached the round of 32, in which he was defeated by the Taiwanese Ko Pin-yi 10:11. In November 2012 he reached the round of 16 at the Japan Open . In September 2013, he made it into the round of 16 for the first time at the 9-Ball World Cup , which he lost to Englishman Karl Boyes at 10:11. After Lo was eliminated in the round of 64 at the 2014 9-Ball World Cup , he reached the round of 16 at the 2014 Japan Open , in which he was eliminated against Raymund Faraon , the eventual winner of the tournament. In November 2015 he made it to the quarter-finals of the Japan Open, where he lost to eventual tournament winner Johann Chua with a 9:11.

Lo has taken part in the World Cup of Pool twice so far . In 2011 he reached the round of 16 with Yukio Akakariyama and in 2013 the quarter-finals with Naoyuki Ōi .
