Antonio Maria Travia (born January 1, 1914 in Palermo , Italy , † February 5, 2006 in Rome ) was a Curial Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Antonio Maria Travia received the sacrament of ordination for the Archbishopric of Palermo on July 11, 1937 through the Archbishop of Palermo , Cardinal Luigi Lavitrano .

On December 16, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Termae Himerae and ordered him to the Pontifical chaplain. Paul VI donated him episcopal ordination on January 6, 1969 ; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Archbishop Sergio Pignedoli , and the secretary of the Congregation for Bishops , Archbishop Ernesto Civardi .

On December 23, 1989, Pope John Paul II accepted Antonio Maria Travia's resignation due to reasons of age.
