Antonio Palesano

Antonio Palesano is an Italian jazz musician . In addition to piano , organ and synthesizer , the multi-instrumentalist also plays the trumpet .

Palesano studied classical trumpet with Helmut Hubov in Konstanz . Between 1993 and 2001 he was a trumpeter member of the German-French jazz ensemble under the direction of Albert Mangelsdorff and Jean-Rémy Guédon . He worked as a sideman a. a. with Simon Stockhausen , Keith Tippett and Massimo Rubani. He has been a member of the Christian Weidner Trio since 2000 and recorded the album Choral with this group in 2004 . In 2001 he played on Sandra Weckert's CD Way Out East with Rudi Mahall , Oli Bott and Johannes Fink . Under Maurice de Martin he was involved in the recording of his suite Transylvaniana (with Mircea Tiberian , Kalle Kalima , Ulli Bartel, Ben Abarbanel-Wolff , Iven Hausmann, Gunnar Geisse , Tadeusz Sudnik, Antonis Anissegos and Oliver Potratz ) in 2002 .

In addition, Palesano also works as a live musician and composer in theater projections as well as composer and arranger for groups such as the Big Bazar Orchestra and appeared (among others at the 8th International Festival for Silent Film and Music) as a silent film accompanist.
