Antonis Anissegos

Antonis Anissegos ( Greek Αντώνης Ανισέγκος ; * 1970 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek composer and pianist.

Live and act

Anissegos attended the piano class of Eleni Xenariou at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki until 1991 and was then a student of György Orban at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest until 1992 . This was followed by studies at the Vienna University of Music with Kurt Schwertsik and at the Cologne University of Music with Krzysztof Meyer . Here he also studied jazz piano with John Taylor . After all, from 1998 to 2001 he was Walter Zimmermann's master class student at the Berlin University of the Arts .

In the early 1990s, Anissegos was supported by Manos Hadjidakis , who performed his works and ordered compositions. He received several composition grants, such as B. 1998 the Franz Liszt Scholarship from the Liszt School of Music Weimar . In 2000 he won first prize in the composition competition of the Neukölln Opera with the chamber opera Hundeherz . For Stirrings Still (based on Samuel Beckett ) he received the Berlin Senate Composition Prize in 2002 .

Performances of his compositions a. a. by Ensemble Modern , Ensemble Piandaemonium, Ensemble Mosaik, Ensemble Cornucopia, Ensemble DissonArt, State Orchestra Thessaloniki, Color Orchestra Athens and Young Philharmonic Thuringia.

Anissegos works in several projects, including the trio IAMA (with Jannis Anissegos and Maria Anissegou ), Grix (with Floros Floridis and Yorgos Dimitriadis ), Lynx (with Kalle Kalima , Danny Schröteler and Samuel Rohrer ), ΣΩΜΑ (with Thymios Atzakas ), ddaA (with Oliver Steidle ), KAYA (with the Butoh dancer Yuko Kaseki), Card Castle (with Mike Majkowski and Christian Marien ) and oneone (with Rainer Jancis ).

In 2009 Anissegos performed at the Creative Arts and Music Project (CAMP) initiated by Friedemann Dähn and Thomas Maos .

He is a member of the European Music Project and Ensemble Junge Musik .
