Marc Unternährer

Marc Unternährer (born February 18, 1975 ) is a Swiss jazz and improvisation musician ( tuba ) and university professor .

Life

Unterährer received his teaching diploma in 1998 and his concert diploma in 2000 (with distinction) and teaches at the general department of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences . He is also a board member of the Forum Neue Musik Luzern and co-initiator of the Mullbau . He worked in various ensembles of John Wolf Brennan and Hans Kennel , as well as in the ensembles Le Rex (with Marc Stucki, Benedikt Reising, Andreas Tschopp and Rico Baumann), Interkantonale Blasabfuhr , Das Zirkumpolare Jazzorchester , Hippes Oktonym (by Ingo Hipp ) and im Ballbreakers Ensemble , also in various band projects in Chicago and Switzerland with Keefe Jackson and Dave Rempis ( The Luzern Chicago Connection ), Erika Stucky ( Bubbles & Bangs ), in Albin Brun's NAH Trio and in his Alpin Quintet , in a trio with Urs Leimgruber / Urban Mäder , in Roberto Domeniconi's Grosser Bär and Lucas Niggli's Africalls . Unterährer plays in a trio with Andreas Glauser and Christian Bucher as well as with Hans Hassler and Julian Sartorius , in the quartet Nacktmull (with Isa Wiss, Hans Peter Pfammatter and Markus Lauterburg).
