Lars Lindvall

Lars "Atmo" Lindvall (born May 28, 1962 in Eksjö ) is a Swedish modern jazz musician ( trumpet , didgeridoo , keyboard ) and music teacher .

Live and act

Lindvall spent his childhood and youth in Sweden. He began playing the trumpet at the age of eight. He initially studied at the Graz University of Music until 1989 , where he received an award from the Austrian Ministry of Science for his excellent degree . During this time he worked with Heinrich von Kalnein in various groups (including X-tra ) and with Christian Mühlbacher's Nouvelle Cuisine and also recorded with Gabriele Hasler . With a scholarship he continued his studies until 1992 at the Berklee College of Music ; in the United States, he worked with Bobby McFerrin , Jay Clayton , Sheila Jordan , Glen Moore , Herb Pomeroy , Mel Lewis and Guy Klucevsek . He then moved to Switzerland, where he works in the jazz departments of the Basel School of Music and the Lucerne School of Music . In addition, he participates in the implementation of theater, performance and dance projects. He also leads his own groups and has performed at numerous European festivals, but also in the Middle East and India. He also worked with George Gruntz , Nguyên Lê , Bardo Henning , Marc Ribot , Rüdiger Oppermann , Lauren Newton , François Lindemann and Corin Curschellas .

He also published the improvisation school Fang to improvise (with MC 1996).
