Franz Bezucha

Franz Bezucha (born September 7, 1904 in Vienna , † May 9, 1981 in Oberwart ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and accountant. Bezucha was married, from 1953 to 1960 and 1964 a member of the Federal Council and from 1960 to 1964 a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Bezucha was born as the son of the master shoemaker Franz Bezucha from Vienna, whereby his father died in 1917 in the First World War. He attended elementary, civil and commercial school in Vienna and then worked as an accountant in the wood industry. In 1939 Bezucha moved to Burgenland for professional reasons, where he was employed in Großpetersdorf .

Bezucha had already joined the Social Democratic Party in 1921. After the Second World War he became SPÖ district party chairman of SPÖ Oberwart in 1947 and a member of the state party executive in 1948. He initially represented the SPÖ Burgenland from March 19, 1953 to May 5, 1960 in the Federal Council and was then from May 5, 1960 to May 26, 1964 a member of the Burgenland Landtag. Bezucha moved back to the Federal Council on May 26, 1964, to which he was a member until December 29, 1964. From July 1, 1964 to December 29, 1964 he was chairman of the Federal Council. He was also active as chairman of the Oberwart settlement cooperative and chairman of the supervisory board of BEWAG , Kurbad Tatzmannsdorf-AG and the Pinkafeld district heating power station.
