Antonio Puri Purini

Antonio Puri Purini (born May 22, 1942 in Athens , † February 9, 2013 in Rome ) was an Italian diplomat .

Antonio Puri Purini was the son of Margherita Rinaldo di S. Rufo and Giuseppe Puri Purini . He married Rosanna Donà dalle Rose, from the Marzotto Group , they have four sons.

Career

On December 3, 1963, he graduated in law at the University of La Sapienza from. In 1965 he joined the foreign service. On July 5, 1969, he became Second Class Legation Secretary in Washington, DC , and on March 1, 1972, he became consul in Munich. On October 20, 1974, he became First Class Secretary to Tokyo . From 1999 to 2005 he was diplomatic advisor to the President of the Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi . From September 2005 to 2008 he was ambassador in Berlin . From September 2008 to 2009 he was also a representative of the Italian government accredited to the EU Commission . He wrote for the Corriere della Sera and Die Zeit .
