Antonio Vitale Bommarco OFMConv (born September 21, 1923 in Cres , † July 16, 2004 in San Pietro di Barbozza ) was Archbishop of Gorizia e Gradisca .

Life

Antonio Vitale Bommarco joined the religious order of the Minorites and was ordained a priest on December 8, 1949 . John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Gorizia e Gradisca on November 11, 1982 .

The Pope personally consecrated him bishop on January 6 of the next year; Co-consecrators were Eduardo Martínez Somalo , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Duraisamy Simon Lourdusamy , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples .

As a motto he chose Da te ipsum aliis = amor . On June 2, 1999, his age-related resignation was accepted.
