Antti Ylönen (born September 15, 1983 in Liminka ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Asplöven HC in the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan since 2015 .

Career

Antti Ylönen already played in the junior division for Kärpät Oulu , for whose professional team he made his debut in the SM-liiga in the 2002/03 season . Since his debut, the defender has won the championship title in the SM-liiga four times with Kärpät in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008, was runner-up in 2003 and 2006, and third in 2006. In addition, he reached the final of the IIHF European Champions Cup twice with Kärpät in 2005 and 2006 , with the two Russian representatives HK Awangard Omsk and HK Dynamo Moscow being defeated. His breakthrough came in the 2005/06 season when he was used in 38 league games. In the three previous seasons together he only made 19 appearances and mostly played as a loan player for Hokki in the Mestis .

At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he was loaned to Vålerenga Ishockey , for which he played eight games in the European Trophy before returning to Kärpät. Ylönen has been under contract with Hokki in Mestis , Finland, since September 2011 .
