Apostag is a municipality in Hungary in County Bács-Kiskun next to the Danube . The population is just under 2,000 (as of 2011). The municipality has an area of 31.94 km².

Apostag is about 75 kilometers south of Budapest and 35 km east of Lake Balaton on the European route E 73.

- The synagogue from 1820 was rebuilt after a major fire. With its early construction period, its interior design and interior decoration, it is counted among the most important synagogues in Hungary and in 1988 received the Europa Nostra Prize for the preservation of European culture.
