al-Mokawloon al-Arab Sporting Club ( Arabic نادي المق اولون العرب الرياضي, DMG Nādī al-Muqāwilūn al-ʿarab ar-riyāḍī ), also known as Arab Contractors Sporting Club or Al Mokawloon for short among the locals, is an Egyptian sports club based in Nasr City , Cairo . The club was founded in 1973 by the Egyptian engineer, building contractor, entrepreneur and politician Osman Ahmed Osman as the official sports club for his company, the Arab Contractors . The club is best known for its soccer team, which currently plays in the Egyptian Premier League , the highest division in the Egyptian soccer league system.
The club has produced some of the most famous and talented players in Egypt over the years, including Mohamed Salah , Mohamed Elneny and Abdel Sattar Sabry .

In the 1980s, Al Mokawloon was among the best teams in Africa . The association was at this time twice in a row the African Cup Winners 'Cup win (1982.1983), which similar to the European competition UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was. In 1983 the Egyptian championship could also be won. The team at that time included top African players such as Joseph-Antoine Bell ( Cameroon ) and Karim Abdul Razak ( Ghana ).
