Arcado String Trio
The Arcado String Trio was an initially American , later an international jazz trio that was active from 1989 to 1993. The ensemble was founded by cellist Hank Roberts , bassist Mark Dresser and violinist Mark Feldman . Ernst Reijseger later took the place of Roberts . The ensemble has not only appeared in a chamber music cast, but also for a project by Manfred Niehaus in 1991 with the WDR Funkhausorchester Cologne and as a double trio together with the Trio des clarinettes by Jacques Di Donato , Louis Sclavis and Armand Angster .
The Arcado String Trio follows the ideas of Billy Bangs String Trio of New York and the Kronos Quartet . In their chamber music they process influences from Django Reinhardt and Jimi Hendrix .
