The church was in 1985 by the UNESCO as part of the World Heritage Site Painted Churches in the area of Troodos in the World Heritage UNESCO added.

description

The church is one of the barn roof churches in the Troodos Mountains and is located in the lower village of Pedoulas. It is dedicated to the Archangel Michael .

According to an inscription, the church was painted in 1474 at the expense of the priest Basil Chamados. In the picture of the donor above the north entrance, kneeling in priestly clothing, he hands over a model of the church to the archangel. His wife and their two richly dressed daughters stand behind him. Within a cycle of images from the New Testament, the "capture" shows how Jesus, ignoring Judas, turns to Peter, who cut off Malchus' ear. The soldiers, some with mustaches, wear mail shirts, daggers, swords and pikes.

On the west wall, Emperor Constantine and his mother Helena hold the cross of Jesus between them. Helena wears jeweled earrings. Saint Κυριακη, Kyriaki, wears personifications of the Holy Week on her robe .
