Ardath Mayhar
Ardath Frances Hurst Mayhar (born February 20, 1930 in Timpson , Texas , † February 1, 2012 in Nacogdoches , Texas) was an American writer who started writing science fiction stories in 1973 . She also published under the pseudonyms Frank Cannon , John Killdeer and Ardath P. Mayhar . In 2008 she was honored as Author Emeritus by the SFWA .
