Ardrishaig ( Gaelic Rubha Àird Driseig ) is a village in the Scottish Council Area Argyll and Bute . It is 48 km south of Oban and 77 km west of Glasgow on the banks of Loch Gilp , a tributary of Loch Fyne . In 2011 Ardrishaig had 1394 inhabitants.
Between 1831 and 1937 Ardrishaig was the location of the nationally important whiskey distillery Glenfyne , also known as Glendarroch .

The A83 , which connects the Kintyre peninsula to the trunk road network, crosses Ardrishaig. There is no connection to the railway network, but there is a regular bus connection to Glasgow. Ardrishaig is the eastern terminus of the Crinan Canal at Loch Fyne and a pier for steamers was built in the 19th century. There were regular ship connections to Oban and Glasgow, among others.
