Ariane Döser

Ariane Döser (born February 8, 1937 in Reutlingen , † April 26, 2015 in Polling ), married Ariane Kolm , was a German athlete who - starting for the Federal Republic of Germany - as an 800-meter runner in the second half of the 1950s appeared.

She started for SSV Reutlingen .

Ariane Döser was German champion over 800 meters in 1956, 1957 and 1958. In 1959 - starting for the Munich Post Sports Club - she was third over 800 meters in the hall.

She had her first international appearance in 1957 when she won the silver medal at the Universiade in Paris in 2: 13.4 minutes behind the Soviet athlete Jelisaveta Yermolajewa (gold in 2: 12.3 minutes). She was also there two years later in Turin .

In 1958 she took part in the European Championships in Stockholm with Edith Schiller . Both athletes reached the finals. Ariane Döser came in fourth with a personal best of 2: 08.2 minutes and Edith Schiller came sixth in 2: 10.2 minutes.

In 1960 she ended her career because of poorly healed injuries and to continue her studies.

Ariane Kolm died on April 26, 2015 with her family.
